We present an exploration of the possible roles of the IVOA UWS (Universal Worker Service) in Rubin Observatory systems, including both near-real-time processing in the OCS-Controlled Pipeline System (OCPS) and in data services in the Rubin Science Platform (RSP). We also briefly look at some implementation issues and options.
